"Benefit Design Innovations: Implications for Consumer-Directed Health Care," Center for Studying Health System Change: The issue brief examines how innovative health insurance benefit designs that include incentives to promote healthy behavior; use of efficient providers; and that vary by service, condition or income of a person, can improve the effectiveness of higher cost sharing in reducing health care cost growth.
